Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data The Swift Kit ("we", "our", "us") collects on https://theswiftk.it.com, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your privacy rights.
1) Data we collect
a) Website analytics data
We use PostHog to understand how visitors use the site. This can include page views, button/link clicks, referrer URL, UTM campaign parameters, browser/device information, approximate location inferred from IP, and session-level usage patterns.
b) Contact and waitlist data
If you submit the contact/waitlist form, we collect your email address and the form source.
c) Checkout and purchase-related data
During checkout, you may provide details such as email and GitHub username. Payments are processed by Gumroad. If enabled, we receive purchase metadata from Gumroad webhooks (for example sale ID, product, price, and refund/chargeback status) for analytics and operations.
2) Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage for analytics functionality. PostHog may store first-party identifiers (for example ph_* cookies/local storage values) to measure visits and product interactions across sessions.
You can control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect analytics accuracy and some site behavior.
3) How we use your data
- Measure traffic, attribution, and user journeys.
- Improve site content, conversion paths, and product messaging.
- Process waitlist/contact requests.
- Track purchases and operational events (including webhook events).
- Prevent abuse, investigate incidents, and protect our services.
4) Services we use (processors)
- PostHog — product and web analytics.
- Gumroad — payment processing and checkout infrastructure.
- Supabase — optional backend storage for operational purchase logs.
- Hosting provider — infrastructure, logs, and security delivery.
5) Legal basis (where applicable)
- Legitimate interest: product analytics, site performance, fraud prevention.
- Consent: where required by local law for analytics cookies/trackers.
- Contract: where data is needed to provide purchased digital goods or support.
6) Data retention
- Analytics event data is retained only as long as reasonably needed for reporting and optimization.
- Waitlist/contact data is retained until it is no longer needed or upon valid deletion request.
- Purchase-operation records may be retained for accounting, support, and fraud-prevention purposes.
7) Sharing and transfers
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to run the website and business workflows. Data may be processed in countries outside your own jurisdiction.
8) Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to request data portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
9) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
10) Children's privacy
This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates are effective when published on this page.
